Working as a professional geologist for over 20 years, and enjoying outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hill walking and scuba diving, I have developed a deep appreciation and understanding of the natural world around us. Photographically my aim is to translate this appreciation into images that can be enjoyed by others, and hopefully encourage others to get out there and look at the wonders that nature has to offer, even on our doorsteps.
Living in the Midlands of England I am ideally located for visiting and working in most of the UK, with the Peak District on my doorstep and most of England, Wales and southern Scotland within three or fours hours travelling time. Of course trips, further a field offer great photographic opportunities too.
Equipment wise, I am currently using a Canon 60D with a range of Canon lenses (the 17-40L being my favourite) and a Manfrotto tripod.
I also have access to a DJi Inspire 2 drone, which allows me to take my photography to new heights (sorry...).
